2011=14 weddings, 10 family shoots, 2 maternity sessions, and 4 engagement sessions. 5 were returning clients. It was a chance to reconnect with old friends and meet amazing new couples, their families, and children. This season humbled me. But as I wrap up my season I am satisfied with the response and I am satisfied with my growth. I can see a dramatic difference from beginning to end, still with so much to learn. This summer & fall meant juggling weddings virtually every weekend and finishing my masters degree full-time. But, by the grace of God and patient and encouraging clients- I made it. Thank you to those who took the time to send me a message, an email, or to call me and encourage to push through and to always believe in myself and in my work. Thank you to my amazing assistant and friend Karen. What a journey we had and I know I wouldn't have been able to make it without you. Thank you to Nikki and Robyn for stepping in when Karen wasn't able to assist. Thank you to Dana for sharing some of this season with me as we shot two weddings together. What an awesome privilege to start shooting together in wheat fields to wedding days and cupid shuffle requests. Wedding photography is certainly a labor of love.
I am looking forward to my next set of weddings in 2012! Here are some of my favorite images from this season. ENJOY.

Laura and John: Engagement
I first got the pleasure of meeting Laura and John when I photographed her best friend's wedding. During the reception there are always couples or moments you become drawn to and I noticed I could not stop taking photos of her bridesmaid Laura her then boyfriend John. I was honored when it was her turn to get married and when she asked me to photograph her wedding and document her engagement. I came across a beautiful B &B in Victor, Springdale Farm B &B, to document these two. Cowboy boots, wildflowers, barns, and a fun couple are the perfect ingredients for a fun shoot. They prove that love knows no bounds and doesnt discriminate--in their case, by age. You can tell immediately how in love they are and it was a pleasure to document them. Here are some of my favorite images from our day. I am soo looking forward to documenting her wedding in October and seeing Nicole and Brandon again. I am so grateful for them because it was following their wedding my photography really took flight. I am grateful for faithful, enthusiastic, and creative clients. These two couples have become my favorites.
